Plastic PVC Pipe: Vip Rubber and Plastic Company

Vip and Excalibur Extrusions have become one, bringing you the same high quality custom pvc pipe and tubing you have come to expect.  
Just as usual, the pipe can be extruded as ABS Pipe, Poly Pipe (Polyethylene Pipe), CPVC Pipe, as well as Custom Pipe Sizes and Colors of Schedule 40 and 80 Pipe, and SDR Pipe - ratings regulating Class 100/125/200/315. 

Standard sizes manufactured include diameters of 1/8” to 6” with either plain, chamfered, or belled ends. Lengths over 20' available.
Basic color options are white, gray, and Clear PVC, but custom colors are available upon request. Vip also offers custom lengths and printing to meet specific needs of your job. 
Our pipe meets or exceeds applicable ASTM standards.

PVC Pipe

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is the most commonly used material in the manufacturing of plastic pipe. PVC pipe is both stronger and more rigid than most other thermoplastics. PVC also has a relatively high tensile strength and modulus of elasticity.
 
PVC is commonly used in applications such as chilled and salt water distribution, chemical drainage, industrial plating, chemical processing, and irrigation systems. Schedule 80 PVC pipe can be joined by either threading or cementing. 

  • -PVC is the most commonly used material in the manufacturing of plastic pipe.
  • -Stronger and more rigid than most other thermoplastics.
  • -Relatively high tensile strength and modulus of elasticity.
  • -Commonly used in applications such as chilled and salt water distribution, chemical drainage, industrial plating, -chemical processing, and irrigation systems.

CPVC Pipe

CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) pipe will give your system many advantages over a system with conventional pipe. CPVC SCH 80 piping systems are resistant to corrosion and chemicals, have simple and reliable joining methods, and last a long time. 

CPVC pipe is used for processing corrosive liquids and in hot and cold water applications.  CPVC piping systems also have increased hanger spacing at elevated temperatures compared to PVC, with low flame spread and smoke generation characteristics.

  • -CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) pipe has advantages over conventional pipe
  • -SCH 80 is resistant to corrosion and chemicals, simple and reliable joining methods, and long-lasting.
  • -Used for processing corrosive liquids and in hot and cold water applications.
  • -Maximum temperature for most CPVC piping products is 210°F, roughly 60oF higher than PVC piping products.
  • -Increased hanger spacing at elevated temperatures compared to PVC, with low flame spread and smoke generation characteristics.
  • -Schedule 80 PVC pipe can be joined by either threading or cementing.
  • -Schedule 40 PVC pipe not recommended for threading
  • -Not recommended for compressed air or gas

Max operating temperature for polypropylene pipe is 210°F. Custom materials available for higher temp applications.


Polypropylene Pipe
HDPE / LDPE

Polypropylene pipe is lightweight but as strong and durable as high density polyethylene. Polypropylene pipe resists common reagents such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and caustic soda, and is also resistant to abrasion. But it is not recommended to be used with strong oxidizing acids such as chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatics. 

  • -Polypropylene pipe is lightweight but as strong and durable as high density polyethylene.
  • -Can be used at high temperatures when thermoplastics such as PVC and polyethylene cannot be used.
  • -Resists common reagents such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and caustic soda, and is also resistant to abrasion.
  • -Not recommended to be used with strong oxidizing acids such as chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatics.
  • -Not recommended for compressed air or gas
Max operating temperature for polypropylene pipe is 175°.  Custom materials available for higher temp applications.
